Sullivan County Chamber Announces Call for Nominations for 2026 Board of Directors

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that nominations are now open for its 2026 Board of Directors. This is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved with the Chamber, help shape the future of our business community, and collaborate with fellow leaders committed to local growth and innovation.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping the Chamber’s vision and direction, overseeing policies, budgets, committees, and strategic priorities. Board members serve a three-year term and must be Chamber members in good standing. The Board is composed of up to fourteen (14) individuals, representing a diverse range of businesses and organizations throughout Sullivan County.

We currently have five (5) open Board seats for the upcoming term.

Board Membership Highlights

• Influence the direction of the Chamber and its programs
• Work alongside community leaders and business professionals
• Contribute expertise to strengthen the local business community
• Play an active role in Chamber meetings, committees, and events

How to Submit

• Complete the online nomination form and upload a current resume
• All eligible nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber’s Nominating Committee
• Following review, nominees will advance to Chamber member voting, where each organization may vote for up to five candidates

Key Dates (2025)

• Nominations Due: Friday, October 10 by 5:00 PM (close of business)
• Meet-the-Candidates Mixer: Thursday, October 16 at Upward Brewing Company, Livingston Manor
• Chamber Member Voting Closes: Friday, October 31
• Announcement of 2026 Board of Directors: Thursday, November 13 at the 2025 Business Excellence Awards & Annual Meeting (Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre)

Eligibility & Expectations

• Must be a Chamber member in good standing
• Commitment to attend regular Board meetings and serve on committees
• Active participation in Chamber events
• A willingness to bring diverse skills, perspectives, and industry representation to the Board
