Forestburgh, NY — [October 20, 2025] — The Forestburgh Playhouse, one of the longest-running professional summer theatres in the nation, proudly announces its 80th Anniversary Season, featuring a spectacular lineup of award-winning musicals, beloved classics, and unforgettable theatrical experiences. Since 1947, the Playhouse has been entertaining audiences in the heart of the Sullivan Catskills, and this milestone year promises to be one of its most exciting seasons yet. The season lineup includes Murder for Two (June 23–28), The Bridges of Madison County (June 30–July 12), Dear Evan Hansen (July 14–26), Hairspray (July 28–August 9), Million Dollar Quartet (August 11–23), Mystery Broadway Blockbuster to be announced in the Spring! (August 25–September 6), and Once (September 8–13).
“Eighty seasons of live theatre is an extraordinary achievement,” says Franklin Trapp, Producing Artistic Director. “Our 2026 productions will celebrate the legacy of The Forestburgh Playhouse with a collection of shows that honor our past while embracing the dynamic spirit of today’s musical theatre.”
