Haunted Afternoons Return to the Roscoe O&W Railway Museum

Roscoe, NY — September 2025 — The Roscoe O&W Railway Museum is thrilled to announce the return of its much-anticipated Haunted Afternoons, bringing eerie fun and spooky history to the Catskills every weekend throughout October.

Guests of all ages are invited to step aboard for a chilling journey into the past, where history and hauntings collide. From mysterious tales of railroad ghosts to playful frights for families, Haunted Afternoons offer a unique blend of local folklore, interactive storytelling, and festive seasonal fun inside the historic O&W Museum.

“This year is especially exciting,” said Karil Davidson, President of the Roscoe O&W Railway Museum Board. “Our museum is not only reopened with full restoration in motion, but we’re powered by an energized group of volunteers eager to share the spirit—both living and ghostly—of the O&W Railroad with our community and visitors.”

• When: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October
   – Fridays: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
   – Saturdays: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
   – Sundays: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Where: Roscoe O&W Railway Museum, 7 Railroad Avenue, Roscoe, NY
• Special Features: Haunted Museum, ghostly guides, crafts and storytelling for kids, and frightfully fun surprises for all ages.

Admission is by free-will donation, with proceeds directly benefiting the museum’s restoration and community programs. Costumes are encouraged, and visitors are welcome to bring the whole family for an afternoon of spirited adventure.

The Roscoe O&W Railway Museum is a nonprofit 501c3, volunteer-run organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Ontario & Western Railroad and the local heritage of Roscoe and the Catskills. Open from Memorial Day through October, the museum features exhibits, model trains, local history displays, and seasonal events for all ages.
