The Sullivan Fresh program is a transformative initiative that connects local farms with communities to combat food insecurity across Sullivan County. Through mobile and farmers markets, the program brings fresh, affordable produce directly to underserved areas, while weekly cooking classes at market sites teach simple, nutritious recipes, foster connections with local farmers, and offer different incentive programs to encourage healthy shopping. Central to the effort is the Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard, which delivers pantry staples and locally sourced items like milk, yogurt, meat, and produce to over 700 individuals each week. Since 2020, the Cupboard has provided more than 500,000 meals and traveled over 1,000 square miles weekly to reach those in need. During the presentation, we will also highlight sponsorship opportunities and ways businesses and individuals can support this impactful work.
