Ribbon Cutting Request Form


To ensure a smooth and successful event, please review and follow the guidelines below:


1. Scheduling Your Event

We'll need some information from you. Fill out the form and submit it back to us soon as possible.

• Confirmed date, time, and location details.

• A brief description of your business and any speakers

• Attach a copy of your company logo

• Any special guests or partners you'd like recognized

• Optional refreshments or giveaways (at your discretion)


2. What the Chamber Provides

• Giant ceremonial scissors and ribbon

• Promotion through Chamber newsletters, social media, and website

• Coordination with local officials and Chamber ambassadors (as available)

• Support with welcoming remarks and photo opportunities


3. Promotion & Publicity

• The Chamber will promote the event through its channels, but we encourage you to invite your own network (customers, friends, vendors, etc.).

• The Chamber will create a Facebook event page, and will tag you as a co-host.

• The Chamber will create and send out a press release to our media contact list.


4. Day of the Event

• Plan to arrive early for setup.

• Have someone ready to greet guests as they arrive.

• The ribbon cutting typically includes:

• Brief welcome by a Chamber representative

• Remarks from the business owner or manager

• The official ribbon cutting with photos

• Time for mingling and tours, if desired


5. After the Event

•The Chamber will share photos and a recap on social media and/or in our newsletter.

•Feel free to tag the Chamber and share your own photos as well!

Tell us what makes your business special! Include details like your cuisine type (if applicable), menu highlights, customer experience, and anything else you'd like people to know.

Please describe any special activities or features planned for the ribbon cutting event (e.g., live music, food samples, tours, special guests, etc.).

List your business’s regular operating hours. Feel free to include weekend or seasonal variations if applicable.

Let us know if your business holds official MWBE certification through New York State. This helps us recognize and celebrate diverse business ownership.
